Then the thought of working and running a business springs up, however, you refuse to entertain these thoughts. You believe there won’t be time for both your job and the business. And you really can’t afford to quit your job.
What if there’s a way? What if you can get the best from both worlds? Ever thought about starting your own online business?
To do this you don’t have to quit your job. Keep reading as I show you how to find time to start a business and make it work!
Step 1 – Identifying Your Business Idea
Every successful business was first conceived in the mind. What idea do you have? What is that unique value you want to add to the society, what are you passionate about?
What is that annoying thing that you always get emotional about? Is it a problem? If you have the answer to any of these questions, then you can start a side hustle dedicated to solving the problems.
Online businesses are known for the flexibility it brings to you as owner. You don’t have to wait till you have all the time in the world. Commit little chunks of spare time to think about what you want and how you want to do it, use your phone or a notepad to take down important points so you won’t forget.
Thoughts could come up while brushing your teeth, while doing some laundry, the bus or train on your way to work or just before you go to bed. It could be while driving down to the grocery store or at the gym. The point is to make good use of the little chunks of time you have in between.
This small steps is how to find time to start a business even when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
Step 2- Gathering Your Ideas
It’s not enough to have an idea or be passionate about solving a problem, although this is very important, it’s just isn’t enough. After gathering your thoughts together, you must dedicate some spare time daily (not too much). It could be in small chunks of 10-15 minutes at several points during the day.
But you have to be consistent and disciplined.
With effective time management, you can create a lot of time from the little chunks you have in between other tasks. Make it a habit to plan ahead on what to do with each little chunk you have.
In this time, you have to do detailed research on what you need in order to bring your idea into action. Get all the information you need for your idea. Make a list and categorize them into the technology, inventory, running cost, potential challenges, market, etc. You want to get all you can about your business idea.
This is an important step that you must take if you hope to succeed as you discover how to find time to start a business that changes your life.
Then narrow down all the information you’ve got to just what you need to start, which includes your investment level. Once this is done, you also have to determine what the running cost would be until you begin to bring in returns from the business.
An example of the running cost may just be the cost of hosting your website and domain name. So we’re not talking about you needing to “break the bank” to get things rolling. Even a hundred bucks could have you off and running quick.
Speaking of moving fast…
Step 3 – Just Start… NOW
Get the business registered and get a website up… and it doesn’t have to be perfect. Start letting people know where to find your new website or social media pages. Time is passing before your eyes… you just want to get moving NOW!
They need to be able to learn about and access your products and services. Invest in live videos, and other digital marketing campaigns to grow your online presence and boost traffic.
It’s necessary to put the word out there about the solution you bring and let people find you. The digital marketing campaign can be done through several paid platforms like Facebook, Google, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
I’m sure at this point, you’re beginning to see how possible it is to start and run both your online business while you maintain your day job. You’re never going to have a lot of time, so start making use of the little chunks that are available in between.
And I guarantee you’ll be amazed at how much time you don’t use…
Which can be all the time you need to change the course of your entire life.
