Our goal as business owners is to make sure that all of our high tech doesn’t accidentally increase the distance between us and our audience. If we do, we run the risk of losing out on far more sales because our followers will feel nothing but the cold hearted machine of marketing.

Talk To Them On The Phone?
Wait a minute… have I completely lost my mind? Did I just tell you to use your phone to talk? Like to have an actual back and forth LIVE conversation with another human being?
I sure did.
Over the past few years within the online marketing space, there was this rallying cry that you could build your successful entrepreneur empire and never talk to anyone! Now granted I’m all for leveraging tools and automation… but when did it become a pain in the a$$ to talk to our potential buyers?
I mean we’re talking about other human beings here right? And those people are the ones that buy our products / services and allow us the privilege to create a life of freedom. I don’t know about you but I think they deserve the chance to speak with us.
Now granted you can’t talk with everyone (especially if you’ve built a huge social media following or email list) but you can still offer the chance at conversations. It’s super simple.
You can record a Facebook Live video or shoot out an email to your list offering the first 10 people who respond a free 20 minute phone call with you. This way only the true action takers will be the ones rewarded.
Plus you’re not offering up your number to everyone (although I have mentors who’ve done just that) and you’re controlling the amount of time invested with each caller. This one is so easy. Let’s say you’re going to be out and about in your local area at a totally chillaxing coffee shop. You jump on your social media and post a simple text update letting your followers and fans know you’ll be there for a set time.
Give them an open invitation to stop on by to chat, brainstorm or share stories. It’s as if anyone who’s in your area is able to snag themselves a free mini-mastermind event… and great coffee too!
You know what’s really funny (and odd) is that I’ve seen fellow top tier marketers put out an opportunity like this and only a handful of people actually show up! It’s almost as if they don’t believe you’re really gonna be there… weird.
But for those who make the trip… what an amazing addition of value you can bring them. Plus by taking some pics and videos, both you and your follower gain social proof shots for your marketing efforts.
Using the “meet and greet” approach will allow your customers to see you out in the real world, just like them. And their feelings of knowing, liking and trusting you will skyrocket… along with more sales to match.
Make Them The Star
This 3rd and final uncommon tip on how to close more sales has to do with turning your prospects into “mini-celebrities.” Let’s face it… “cause we all just wanna be big rockstars and live in hilltop houses, drivin’ fifteen cars.”

The point is we all want to feel appreciated, loved and yes… important. Your prospects and customers are the same way. In fact, part of why they already follow you is to be part of your world… to be part of something special.
So go ahead and turn the camera on them and let them shine.
One way could be that you give someone a shout out in one of your email broadcasts to your list. Sharing a story of how that customer achieved their first success online with your training. Your customer will feel that rush of adrenaline when they see their own name featured inside your email. Oh and how they’ll brag to their friends too!
Another way could be to bring your prospect on for a video interview where they can get any of their questions answered for 15 minutes. Once the video is done, you share that to your Facebook or YouTube. Now your prospect is a social media star!
